IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING WATERSLIDE DECALS: The WATERSLIDE decals I supply will work properly as directed but please be advised that due to conditions beyond my control in the manufacture of the waterside paper utilized and your specific installation technique of the enclosed decals, fogging under the decal is very possible even when applied exactly as described on my website, www.tightlinecustomrods.com. With that being said, I will cease replacing decals or issuing monetary refunds for waterslide decals that exhibit fogging regardless of the installation technique used by the customer.

Extensive testing of the decal media was performed and it was found to exhibit fogging under all combinations of epoxy finishes used to cover the decal and to cover the blank under the decal as required.  Fogging was not apparent during the early stages of epoxy cure but as time progressed, the fogging became visible.  

In the past years, a lot of waterslide decals were sold with only a few customer issues arising from fogging – to me, one issue is too many. This issue of fogging was the main reason I in my rod building business stopped using waterslide decals and progressed to peel & stick decals. I want the customer to get the best product that I can produce but I also want my work to compliment theirs and not detract from it.  

I will continue to offer waterslide decals to any customer wishing to purchase them but I felt the information stated above should be brought to the customer's attention so an informed decision for purchasing could be made. Thanks again and feel free to call or write for additional information

Being a rodbuilder myself, I can understand the need to make the fishing rod into a work of art for the customer to enjoy, not only on the stream, but also in the presence of his or her friends.

I have created logos and composites for other businesses unrelated to the fishing industry in past years using some of the design industry’s premiere programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Pagemaker and Adobe Photoshop. So just about anything can be created from your ideas and, if you want it on a fishing rod, that’s where I can help.

I can create your needed artwork from the ground up, or if you have a design that you are currently using, I feel certain I can continue to supply the items you need. Just submit the artwork and I will determine if I can help.

Hours of Operation:  "We doze, but we never close." How can we sell our products if our shop is closed. This is a part time business that is run in association with my rod building business and we are open on ALL holidays, legal or otherwise, and that’s when we catch up. The mail may not run, but we do . . .then we put your order in the box for when the mail DOES run.  On occasion during the year we may leave for a vacation, but we will let you know well in advance so plans can be made.
