This fly rod is built on a blank designed by Dan Craft Enterprises and is a 9'-0", 6pc. designed for a 6 wt. line. The reel seat insert is glossy Cocobolo

The fly rod above utilizes the glossy Cocobolo insert with the light TiCh chrome plated brass reel seat hardware. These inserts, in combination with the excellent quality of the hardware that Batson Enterprises is famous for, make an excellent adornment for any fly rod. The hardware is available with light Titanium Chrome (Gunsmoke) or a bright chrome plating that is similar to Nickle Silver.

And for the fisherman that enjoys only the finest in hardware, we have a solid Nickel Silver reel seat with a choice of stabilized Tiger Maple or stabilized Cherry Burl inserts. Stabilized means it has been impregnated with resins to make the wood more moisture proof.

TiCh plated brass hardware for the five wood inserts above. Nickel Silver plating is also available

To compliment the high quality hardware of the reel seats, the stainless steel guides and tip tops are also finished with the same Titanium Chrome (TiCh) plating. The nylon guide wraps are coated with at least three thin coats of epoxy to protect the guide wraps.

Each rod is labeled with the owner's name or other desired text along with the rod specifications.

Decorative butt wraps are used to enhance the eye appeal of the finished rod . . . similar to having a fine shotgun or rifle engraved. The embellishment doesn't make them shoot or fish any better, but it sure is nice to have when you are showing them off to your friends!!!

Ultra-Light cork grip - 6½" long - recessed for up-locking reelseat - perfect for 6' to 7' fly rods of 1wt, 2wt, 3wt

Standard Half-Wells cork grip for rods from 4wt to 6wt - 7" long - recessed for up-locking reelseats

Standard Full-Wells cork grip for rods from 7wt and up. 7½" long used on freshwater and saltwater models.

Standard modified full-wells (Western) for use on light to medium rods with downlocking reelseats - 7" long

The cork grips on my flyrods are made from the finest cork on the market today. This is just a sampling of the standard shapes that are mostly utilized. If you have a special request, just send a sketch and I will consider duplicating it.

Reel seats from Struble Mfg. are also used to add a classy element to my custom rod designs. From their Premium line of Nickel Silver seats, I use mainly the U-20 for smaller freshwater rods and the U-24 for medium rods. They have a wonderful selection of exotic wood inserts such as Zebra, Bubinga, Rosewood, Cocobolo, Fiddleback Maple, etc. Visit their site and see the quality of their product. Batson solid Nickel Silver with Cherry Burl on a 7'-0" 2 piece - 3 wt (for info only as this wood has been discontinued and replaced with Madrone Burl which is a similar burl pattern)

Struble U-20 solid Nickle-Silver reel seat and Birds-Eye Maple insert on a 6'-0" 2 piece - 3 wt.

Struble U-17, anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat with Myrtle wood insert. A small diameter reel seat for trout-sized rods. Machined anodized aluminum with a polished finish.
