This fly rod was presented to my step-son at his college graduation in 2007. The rod is a 9'-0", 3 pc for a 5 wt line. Maple burl as a reel seat insert.

The fly rod above utilizes the Maple Burl insert with the Nickel silver plated brass reel seat hardware. These inserts, in combination with the excellent quality of the hardware that Batson Enterprises is famous for, make an excellent adornment for any fly rod. The hardware is also available with light Titanium Chrome plating (Gunsmoke)

TiCh plated brass hardware for the five wood inserts above. Nickel Silver color plating is also available.

To compliment the high quality hardware of the reel seats, the stainless steel guides and tip tops are also finished with the same Titanium Chrome (TiCh) plating. The nylon guide wraps are coated with at least three coats of epoxy to protect the guide wraps.

Decorative butt wraps are used to enhance the eye appeal of the finished rod . . . similar to having a fine shotgun or rifle engraved. The embellishment doesn't make them shoot or fish any better, but it sure is nice to have when you are showing them off to your friends!!!

The cork grips on my flyrods are made from the finest cork on the market today. This is just a sampling of the standard shapes that are mostly utilized. If you have a special request, just send a sketch and I will consider duplicating it.

Solid Stainless Steel stripping and snake guides are now available for saltwater style flyrods.

Two new aluminum seats from Batson. The window fly seat is a nice Gun-smoke color and limited to light burl wood insert . The B101 seat has a very realistic nickle silver plating and can be had with either a Tiger Maple or a Rosewood burl insert.
